Video velocity envelope bug??

I am trying to insert a freeze frame in a "speeded" up
video event.

My video event has a velocity envelope of 300%.
When I split the video event where I want the freeze frame,
the new second event on the right screws up it's
window reference to the media file. It now reverts back earlier
in time in the media file. (Simple to reproduce)

Note this doesn't happen with other forms of speeding up,
but unfortunately I need the velocity envelope.

If sonic foundry is listening this seems like a bug.
Is there a work around??

GG,

Thanks for response GG.

The 0% velocity does not work in my case. I should have given out more
info. I am using the velocity envelope at 300% AND the property playback
rate of 400%. (I'm a fast driver -;). the 0% velocity does not freeze
it in this case.

If not a bug, then I would request it as a feature. I think when you split the event into 2 events, it would be nice if they could maintain the envelope information.
Are there other things to be aware of when you split an event??

We fixed a few issues with quantization in 3.0a. Look for the update soon...

Timestretched/velocity enveloped source video frame boundaries cannot by definition ever regularly align with the fixed project frame boundaries...but that's ok- enabling the resample switch deals with this problem in most cases.
