Vegausur "transcoder" = "toolkit" = $99

I went over to get Vegasur and first Googled "Vegasur transcoder" and it took me to a page to download it.

Then at the Vegasur page I clicked "products" at the top and I see Vegasur Toolkit but not "transcoder"

1 - Are they the same? $99 right? (I'm guessing the transcoder is one of the tools in Vegasur)

2 - And... wonder if I should wait till next week to buy it... maybe they will have an NAB sale... what do you think.

3 - Finally, does Sony Creative Software own Vegasur? And what does the "ur" at the end stand for?

Thanks

The transcoder is one of many features in Vegasaur. They are all listed in separate pages.

Vegasaur is not owned by SCS.

My take on the name Vegasaur is that is sounds kinda like a dinosaur name. This is interesting and has the Vegas name contained within.

If you go to the scripting forum and do some searches, you can create your own Vegas script that will render regions to any number of formats and sizes you want. Effectively turning the Vegas timeline into a very large batch render tool. Of course it will not have the $99 price tag, or the flashy front end graphics.

And Wiil-3 as I mentioned to you previously - what you get is a transcoder MANAGER - so as Astar points out quite clearly - it is silly to spend the $99 just for that. You can do better.

BUT if you want Proxy builder, and all the other great tools inside of the Vegasaur product plug-in offering - then it is a value that cannot be beat!!!
