For some reason, randomly, my program started playing the loops at the wrong times. For example, it will be on 25 seconds, and start playing the loop that I have on the 35 second line. I have no idea why this is happening. I even tried to reinstall, but the same situation came up. I'm assuming I just have a setting wrong, but I don't know what to do! This is sooo annoying. I would appreciate help so much! My creativeness is at a stand still, please help me!

Just for clarification, this happens ALL the time. It plays the loops at the wrong times, and it always seems to be about 10 seconds or so before I want them to start playing! Thanks so much to anyone who can help me!!

Wow, that is VERY strange.

What kind of soundcard are you using, and do you have the latest drivers? Can you tell us anything else about your system including OS, and hardware configuration? Any other audio software on the machine, and if so, does that play back the audio fine, or with discrepancies?

Also, has anything strange happened with your disk drives (or system in general)lately, or are you playing loops off of a CD or other removable media?

Joel

Hi, thanks for trying to help...

I even installed the demo version of Acid 3.0 to see if it would also have that problem, and it works fine, not showing any problems! It seems to be 2.0d

I haven't had any problems at all with any other program or anything, I am running it on a brand new computer also. But the weirdest thing is that it was working absolutely fine, and then just one time when I started the program it started doing it! I've tried playing loops from the CD and my hard drive, it does the discrepancy each time. I am completely flustered...

Do you have ANY idea what it could be?

This is just a guess, but does the new computer use Windows XP as its OS? I'm not sure that ACID 2 is fully supported under XP.

If so, have you tried running ACID 2.0 in compatibility mode under XP? Worth a shot...

Hi...
Yes, I am under WinXP...how do I run "compatability" ?

I'm not sure, but you may be a god if you get this working ;)

Thank you!

Find the "ACID.EXE" executable where ACID is installed. (Typically, I think it's "C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\ACID 2.0".) Once you find the ACID executable, right-click it, select, "Properties," and then click the "Compatibility" tab.

(You should also be able to use the shortcut to the program and follow the instructions above.)

Next, tick the checkbox for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose an OS (which would probably be Windows 98/Windows Me). Click OK when done.

Note that this is no surefire way of getting it to work properly, but it couldn't hurt to try.
