How to load Vegas appearance where I was last

Windows 8.1, Vegas Pro 12 - When I click on the appropriate icon in the toolbar Vegas loads and sits in the left top of my 24 " Dell Monitor. I must then click on the maximize square then click again then hit Alt d and 1 to get me going where I was when last up and running with it the way I like it.

Why not (how) just load as it last was, is my question please anyone, when I hit the Vegas icon?

Thanks...

arrange how you like then save as default / view > windows layout, etc.,

Thanks ushere however as you see above I know about the 'view/windows layouts etc as noted above with the alt D comment. Let me be more explicit.

Just in case I restored my copy to default. I want Vegas Pro 12 to start full screen. When I click on the Vegas Pro 12 icon on my Windows Task bar Vegas Pro starts however I then must click to 'restore down' then click again to make full screen then hit alt D then 1 (my saved layout) to get where I want to be.

My question then is how can I set Vegas Pro 12 to start full screen and with my 'alt D 1' layout already loaded rather than needing me to hit alt D 1 every time I load the program.

I must be missing some setting but for the life of me...

Right click on the Vegas shortcut and select Properties. What is the Run field set to? See if changing it to Maximized gets you what you want.

Thanks MSmart, did that but made no difference whatsoever. I even rebooted after, but no...

I'm running Windows 7 Professional so I'm not certain if / how Windows 8.1 saves the state of applications.

With Vegas Pro 12 open:

On the Vegas Pro menu select Options / hold the shift key / select Preferences.

Hope this invokes Layout 1 even if Windows can't remember to start Vegas Pro 12 maximized.

Thanks John, did that, all good however I'm not sure how to check that Windows can see the link.

It's raining steadily here so with little better to do I uninstalled Vegas Pro 12, cleaned up the hard drive including the registry, loaded Vegas Pro 11 - same problem so I guess it's a Windows 8.1 thing.

Maybe I should upgrade to Windows 10.

Right!!!!!
