Can't install any of your products -ACID Product Family

I have installed acid in the past as a demo, but deleted it. I think this may be where the problem is. What happens is the installation gets to the part where it writes some type of script, and it then locks up and times out. With Sound Forge what I did was to take the zipped files and unzip them into the right directories. I tried that with the Acid files by making an ACID 3.0 folder, and a Shared Plug-Ins folder. Then I unzipped all the files into each directory, and I get it to the point where the program opens. But you can't use any loops of any media type with it.
