Subject:can burn cd's in Acid 3.0, but not in any other programs, why?

hello everybody, my thanks to MD for the help on the errors.
just wondering if anyone knows why i can not burn with cd creator deluxe edition or New Nero 5? there's no problem burning FULL SPEED in Acid 3.0. but cd creator says it doesn't detect a drive and Nero just freezes up.
both programs see it as a Cd-rom drive but not a burner. #@$%%^**$$

Have you installed the device drivers for your drive? Without them, Windows will only know it as a CD-ROM. ACID probably has it's own code for controlling it. Nero and Easy CD Creator will rely on having the Windows drivers installed.
