Subject:Error opening quictime in Acid 3

Hey all,

I am running Acid 3, Quictime 5.0.2, using Windows XP and I get the following error message when I try to open .qt in Acid:

The file format plugin for the specified format was not properly initialized

I thought qt importing was just part of Acid 3, not a plugin, so anyone got any suggestion?

Appreciate any help anyone could give.

Is this for all files that have the QT extension? Have you tried other QT files?

Did you perform a full install of QuickTime as well?

ACID doesn't have the ability to open .qt or .mov files on its own. In order to open QuickTime files in ACID, you need to make sure to install Quicktime(including the authoring tools) from Apple's site, then ACID should be able to open those files fine.
