I just got my Acid Pro 3.0. The problem is that when I want to open the application under W2K i get the error message: "acid.exe has generated an error. the application will be closed".

It works fine under Win98SE, although the software is compatible with W2K. Is there any cure for that? Thanks.

Wes

I do have dx8.1 and I've reinstalled it few times. The problem is still there. It drives me crazy. What could be a problem then? I have it installed at work under win98 and I have no prblem at all. Please guys, try harder :o) Thanks.

Hmmmm.... Perhaps something strange happened to your prefs? Try opening ACID with Ctrl + Shift held down to reset them.

Also, try logging on as an Admin or Power user(if you're not), and see if that helps. For other trouble-shooting purposes, you could try disconnecting your CD ROM drive, but I kind of doubt that would be it, so try the other two first.

HTH,
Joel
