Subject:3.0f::file open,click a folder,hourglass,no respond,FREEZE?

hello acidheads,
acid 3.0f,dell 600mhz,maxtor 40gig,640mg ram,lexicon core 2,
i open up acid, click on file:open, click on folder where i stash my acd.files,
the hourglass appears and stays there
Ctrl+alt+del tells me not responding.
i just reinstalled the program and problem still exsists.
was happening slower & slower as time goes on, but now freezes up.


any ideas?
