I am syncing up Vegas to Acid using the Virtual Midi Router. When one program tries to run while the other is running it freezes. I get a message telling me that the other program is using the same audio driver.

long story short: i would appreciate any help that would allow me to use Acid only as a midi sequencing program (disabling all audio features and drivers) that i can sync up to Vegas via the VMR.

Why would you use Acid as a midi-program, it hardly supports any midi-features at all? You would be better off getting a cheap sequencer and use Acid for audio-loops wich it excels at.
