I have downloaded the Acid Express 3.0 application to attempt to do some simple .wav editing. I have been unseccessful in cutting portions of a file from the audio track ,,, example ,,, I have the .wav file of Take Me Out to the Ball Game and wish to cut the existing transition between the chorus and add a similar transition ,,,, I have been unable to cut portions of this file,,,, What am I missing? (I actually cut the audio file using the Nero wave editor, then inserted those files into Acid Express and rendered it into a new file) ,,,,, Can you "cut" audio files using Acid Express 3.0 ,,,,,, Please send any responces to my Email as well as this forum: cococoop@aol.com (Tom Cooper) |

You won't be able to save to .WAV files with ACID Express; you'll have to upgrade to one of the paid versions to do that. If your interest is editing sound files rather than creating new music, you would probably be better served by looking at Sound Forge or Vegas instead. ACID really isn't intended for editing files. Sound Forge XP Studio 5.0 sells for $59.97 and features destructive editing of a single mono or stereo track. http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/NewShowProduct.asp?PID=460 and Vegas Audio LE 2.0 sells for the same price and features non-desctructive editing/multitracking of up to 8 stereo or mono tracks. http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/NewShowProduct.asp?PID=420 Either of these will let you open, chop up, paste together, and save sound files much more easily than ACID. |
