I NEVER use that plugin, so I have no idea why it says that. Is it from an XFX pack I accidently uninstalled?

Are you opening somebody else's project?

It sounds like you may be opening a project that was created in ACID Pro 3.0, but do not have ACID Pro 3.0, or may have uninstalled the Track FX plug-in.

FWIW, it's not usually considered an error--more of a warning message that the project may sound different than the person who made it intended.

It probably was me uninstalling the track fx plugin, but since I never used it and I have a load of XFX packs, I don't know if the plugin came installed with Acid Pro 3.0, or if it was in one of the packs. Could someone tell me?

Yes, TrackFX does come with ACID Pro 3.0.

If you deleted it, then you'd see that error, or something similar. If you want to bring TrackFX back, you can probably do a repair of ACID by going into the Add/Remove Programs, and choosing Repair, rather than Remove, and it'll replace all files it needs that got deleted.

Ran into this myself. Here's what tech support says (it worked!):

Check to see if you have the following file:

C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio\sftrkfx1.dll

If not, then you will need to remove and reinstall Acid Pro 3.0 to get it
back.

If you do have it, open Acid, then drag and drop the dll onto the open Acid
window. Acid will ask you if you wish to register the plug-in and you will
say "Yes", then close and reopen Acid.

Hopefully it is there and you won't need to reinstall.

good luck,

ts
