This latency issue has been bothering me for a few months! I'm glad I've finaly found someone who will probably be able to help me!

I don't use cubase, but I do have Cakewalk 9. I've found a control that says it's for adjusting the latency, but whether I set it to 10msec or 260msec it makes no audible difference. It wass set for four buffers, but is now set for three. Also no audile difference. I've tried going to intel (the manufacturer) to download a new driver, but it's almost like their search engine doesn't remember that they made my particular model. Only a couple of references to it, but no mention of drivers that I can find (or undertand from all the jargin). I've tried looking on the microsoft XP site, but I've yet to have a problem that microsoft has ever helped me solve. (I don't even know why I bothered.) Anyway, I've also messed around in the audio settings in the control panel for quite a bit and I can't find any kind of setting that make any differece either way.

Any help on this topic from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated.
