If you have a loop that contains an Am7 chord and want to modulate it to Dm7, press the grey + key 5 times (one semitone up for each press) to change it from A to D. However, you must have a loop in a minor chort to begin with. You can't convert a major chord to a minor chord in ACID. |

In addition to what Chienworks said, check out this SF Knowledge Base article. Iacobus |

Well you can actually make many major chords work like minors and versa visa, but you need to have some understanding about scales. For instance a C-chord (C-E-G) will function as Am7, a Cmaj7 (C-E-G-B) as Am9 etc. Both examples get you minor chords without the root note A. A G9 can be viewed as Bm7-5, instant jazz :-) There are probably some music respurces on the net wich deal with these musical relations. |

Unfortunately, most of the "chords" that ACID Loops supply have the root in the bass, which makes it sound muddy when you try to add another root (ie, a CM/A in order to get Am7). I have tried this several times and have not been happy with the results. |
