That's easy, I set up a default project that I start every new session with. In that Default project I have it directed to record in one specific folder. So everytime I start a new project, instead of clicking on the Acid Icon, I click on my Default project Icon which has all my presets ready to go and everything is already set up the way I prefer to work.

Great advice Rednroll.

To do this, save a project, FavoriteRecordDirectory.acd to your D:\RecordingSpot directory, or whatever. Every time you open that project and record into it, it'll save the recordings there, rather than C:\Sonic Foundry...\ACID.

Then just browse to D:\RecordingSpot, create a shortcut to FavoriteRecordDirectory.acd, and add it to your desktop, or even your program group at <C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs>.

So why is the recorded files folder (under file>properties ... audio tab) hidden? And when it is "un-hidden" why doesn't it work?

It also means that you'll have to open another ACID window in order to access the recorded files folder if you're already working on a project and want to add recorded audio to the project.

Not necessarily ideal, but it works.
