i'd like to be able to use acid for drum tracks in cubase. from what i have learned i dont think i can assign acid pro output to a channel in cubase. from what i understand i would have to make drum track mix it down to 2 tracks and then import this to cubase. sounds cool but i would have to make any alterations to drum tracks without hearing the cubase audio output. then remix any changes and going back and forth between the two. is there an easier way. i know about soundforge but im already way into cubase. any ideas or suggestions.---i can dream that theres an easy way cant i?!! |

you can make a rough drumtrack by opening the acid loop/wav in cubase and copy it a few times to reach song length. then add your cubase parts to it. once you've got those parts, export them as wav and open the cubase parts in acid. now open the drum loop(s) and build the drumtrack as you want it. when thats done, render it as a wav. now you can arrange and mix the parts in either program. until acid gets rewire functionality this is how it has to be done. if i've overlooked something, i'm sure one of these guys will add to this... |

thanks. i planned on the rough ..drum track to cubase part but never thought to do rough mix of cubase and import to acid to work out the details. im not familiar with acid yet so the option did not cross my mind. im stuck thinking of acid as only a loop mixing program. thanks again. |
