Try checking out these articles: Sonic Foundry KB Article 1. Article 2. When sharing projects, it might be helpful to use the "Copy all media with project" option under File>Save As on the menu bar, or use the ACD-ZIP file format (which embeds the media with the file). HTH, Iacobus |

Can you start a new project at all in ACID, or is this happening with older projects? I'd also try an uninstall and reinstall. If you downloaded the update to ACID, download it again. It also might sound like something that was available or referenced in the project is no longer available, like FX or audio files or even audio hardware like a specific soundcard, which might explain why your friends cannot open up their projects on your system. Have you made any changes to your own system recently? (On the same note, do have ACID Pro 3? It's the only version of ACID that lets you select a specific playback device in your system.) Iacobus |

Do you have ACID Pro 3? :) Hey, I have an Audiophile 2496 too! The Audiophile doesn't have an analog audio CD connector on the card, so you'll have to play audio CD's digitally (through the PCI bus). There are a couple media players, like Microsoft's Windows Media Player and Sonic Foundry's Siren, that will play your audio CD's digitally. I think there's a plug-in for Winamp too but that's a pain to configure. Iacobus |
